I was in a huge grassy field, a white wolf resting his head on my shoulder. "I love you..." I muttered, burying my face in his fluffy fur. When I looked again, it was Seth who sat by me. Seth gently took my face in his hands and leaned toward me, as if he were going to kiss me... Ahhh! Yucky, awful, evil dream!
When I woke up, Lupus was sitting on the floor a few feet away from me, a worried expression on his face. The rest of the 'pack', was sprawled out across the cave floor, most of them sleeping.
"What... happened?" I asked slowly, looking up at him. The last thing I remember was a big black wolf sitting on my chest...
"We came to get you, and you fainted." He stated simply. Gone was the tone of amusement that had come into his voice whenever he had spoken to me before. Lupus was as cold as the living dead, and was obviously displeased by my decision.
Next to me, someone moaned, and rolled over in their sleep, draping an arm across me. I moved it and sat up, before turning to look at who it was.
Seth.
"Ewww!" I cried, moving away from him. "Lupus, you let him sleep next to me?"
"Yes. He was worried about you."
"Fine. Who is the wolf that sat on me last night?Tell me!"
"I am."
"You're not telling! Who was it?"
"It was me." He said, yawning. "There's food outside. He turned, leaving me alone with Seth and the other shifters. Yawning, Seth sat up, and looked at me, a small smile on his face.
"You passed out." He said, laughing. What was with him and these mood swings? Ah well. A teen thing I supposed.
I get moody every month too.
"It's not funny..." I muttered, not wanting to face him after the dream I had.
"Yes it is! Now, about that hotel..." He had the nerve to bring that up? How dare he!
"What?" I said, rage boiling inside me.
"I said now, about that hotel." Seth said, watching to see what I'd do.
I glared at him, my anger washing through me like a wave washing upon the shore, sweeping away anything it can reach. My vision became sharper, my hearing better, and it was as though I could feel my fingernails growing longer.
"Lupus!" Seth yelled, calling my mentor in. At the sound of his voice, others awoke, scrambling backward when they saw me. I screamed, as my skin began to feel like millions of needles were being pressed into it at once. The seams of my clothes ripped, and I fell to all fours, slowly advancing toward Seth, face twisted in a feral snarl. "Help!" He yelled, and I watched as He turned into a huge white wolf, with blue eyes, exactly the way I had pictured him in my dream.
"Mysty stop!" Someone yelled from behind me.
But I didn't listen.
