Woah, starting community college is going to be confusing. There're so many different courses. I want to start simple my first year, maybe art or something, and then move on to creative writing and math. But which art class to take? There's Elementary Drawing and Composition, Figure Drawing, Portrait Drawing, Cartooning, Pottery. Help?

That depends on what you're there for.
Are you trying to eventually transfer and get your BA? 'Cuz if that's the case, I'd just get my GE out of the way and not worry about art courses.
You should also try talking to your high school or community college counsilor. They'd be able to tell you what you need to take, and help you decide what you want to take.

Hmmm, I'd take cartooning or pottery, but if you really want to learn how to draw, take elementary drawing and composition ^^

I'm leaning towards pottery or elementary drawing. Maybe I can take cartooning the next year? I've got a few before I'm off to real college

I've been planning to be a vet for years now. So I need to hit the science classes once I'm used to the whole college thing. But I want to start easy, so art and creative writing for my first year

Wow. A wolf biologist and a vet, huh?
I personally couldn't do it. I like science and all, but I can't sit around and work with it all day. I'd go crazy.
I'm going to college for an English degree, and I'm thinking of minoring in some kind of foreign language. ...But I'm going straight to the big college starting this fall.

I'm not old enough for real college yet. I really love working with animals, but I'm also not one of the ones who'll freak out at the first sight of a real suffering animal, so I figure I'll make a pretty good vet.
English would be a cool degree. I'm gonna do the creative writing courses next year, if I make it through this one once I start. And a foreign language would be awesome. Which one would you take?

I have no idea. I'd like to learn them all, but I know that's not quite feasable. Hehe.
I've taken 4 years of Spanish in high school, so I'm really good with that; but I also took a year of Japanese and I really liked it... but I know I couldn't ever be fluent in Japanese (or at least I could never be proficient in writing it), so I don't want to feel like I'm wasting my time. Besides that, I don't like French. XP And I think the college I'll be going to will be offering German.
So it's either Spanish, which I can speak really well already, or Japanese, which I'll always be bad at to native standards, or German, 'cuz I've always wanted to learn it.

I want to learn French of German I think, bad experiences with Spanish in elementary school before I got taken out. I spent like three years in the class and learned nothing but a handful of swear words, the basic colors, and numbers up to ten.

Lol, well I could definately tutor you in basic Spanish. That's what I do for all my younger friends that are taking Spanish classes. Lol.
...Come to think of it, that's what I did with all the people sitting around me in my Japanese class too, we were all in the same class, but for some reason, I always got it when they didn't. B-)
But anyways...

Eh, I have no interest in Spanish anymore. Now I'm figuring out which bio classes I need to take in two years to be able to transfer credit to a UC vet program. This is all way to confusing for my poor brain.

Yup. Have to do that to, which will suck 'cause I hate talking to strangers. 'Specially about personal stuff. Right now I'm just trying to figure out what I can handle my first year and what I'd prefer
