"Fine, there's nothing wrong with you. Go ahead and keep fooling yourself, I don't have the energy to care anymore." Kat snapped her sketchbook shut as she could no longer focus on the page.
You need sleep. Ai reminded her.
I don't, I can wait 'til after someone decides to explain this shitty situation to us.
You haven't slept in days, rest before you fall on your ass. Ai's voice was impatient.
You sound like Carson, 'cept you don't have drugs to knock me out or Marines to drag me back to my room and lock me there.
He isn't here and someone has to keep you from killing yourself. If you want to keep up with everyone else you have to be rested.
"Oh, fine." Kat sighed, closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the cabin wall. No sleeping yet, but I suppose resting won't kill me.

Rocutia was satisfied.
"I shall go. Await further instructions," she said, suddenly vanishing. Lanz groggily yawned and rubbed his eyes, taking a bunk.
"I'm sleeping. I'll see you when the knell tolls," he said with sarcasm. "That'll be whenever Lady gives us an obstacle... 'night..."

When the tiger disappeared Kat got up off of the ground and stumbled to a bunk. She dropped her pack and shoved it under the bed and then fell over onto the bunk. Asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow she barely remembered to shove her gun under the pillow.

Jerez was already asleep with his back against the outside of the cabin wall, and the tiger's words did not wake him.
So there he drempt, and the cold gave him dreams of snowy places he'd long abandoned.

I will not fall asleep, Jake thought. I will not fall asleep.
This mantra soothed him, kept him awake, kept him sane. As he sat, lost in silence, he took to watching the others sleep. They were unpleasantly crude in his opinion.
Jake slid down the inner wall of the cabin, sitting on the rough floor, knees apart. He inspected his hands delicately; his once-perfect nails were dirty, as were his clothes - probably from lying on the ground unconscious.
Stupid Kora.

Kyle shuffled into camp, looking placid and slightly lost. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and frowned, unsure what he should be looking for. He jumped at the sound of a snore, though relaxed when he realized it was only a girl, who looked unconscious. “Calm down, Kyle,” he reprimanded himself, “You can’t be jumping at the littlest things...”

Jake jumped to his feet as the sound of another entering jolted him from his reprieve. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jake. Welcome to the worst place you will ever stay at in your life."
He walked over and inspected the timid looking kid. Is he actually going to join? "It is a bit crowded now... Maybe they sent you over here so I could be on Silki's team?" He cried. Please let that be the case... He was dying without his dragoness by his side.

He almost panicked. Almost, but not quite. “Ahh.. hello,” he said, smiling shyly. “I'm Kyle—no, I don't think so—maybe—I don't know,” he finished lamely. Kyle sighed, running his fingers quickly through his dark hair. “Sorry.”
Damndamndamndamn. First impressions and you're already acting like you belong in an insane asylum. Pull yourself together, man.

"That sucks..." Jake fell back against the wall, his head held in his hands. Why had he signed up for this camp of nightmares? Being separated from Silki, having to cook for himself, getting dirty. It all sucked.
"Sorry, I just kinda miss my dragon..."

“That's... okay,” Kyle said slowly, “I know the feeling, of—of, you know, being apart from someone you care for—” He sighed softly and leaned against the side of the cabin.

There was a soft sqeak from the cabin doors' hinges. From the doorframe, a teenage girl stood. As she padded inside softly, she observed who would be her teemates. Great... A crowded cabin. Her silky black tresses of hair attempted to swing into her face, but the hat she wore made for a restraint. In reality, the hat was to hide her ivory dragons' horns, which made a stark contrast with her hair if she didn't wear the hat. Of course, she also had other dragon traits to hide. She wore thick white gloves to hide her dragons' claws, and her long sleeved, black shirt covered up the violet scales that reached up to her elbow. On the shirt was a hand-stiched logo, one of a beautiful purple dragon soaring through the clouds. This girl, Terai, had made it and stiched it on herself. Upon her back was a large, high resting back pack that hid her majestic violet wings, which, when let out, were the height of her body and twice the length. Now, fully inside the room, the door swung shut with a loud bang. She flinched and peered around the room apprehensively.
