The horizon is bare of the sun still, and it is cold as ever, the atmosphere waiting for dawn. The clearing before everyone is spacious but barren, surrounded by - you guessed it - a dense forest. Lady is floating on her cloud, and the young dire tiger is before her.
"Good morning," the goddess said, giving her smile. "Is everyone hungry? I hope so. Sancta, please debrief them!"
"Breakfast is the game today. Prepare it using whatever you can find, and keep in mind these rules:
Three course meal, portions for every team member.
One beverage, enough for every team member.
Good luck!"

Alright, as Silkia and I are best suited to hunting, one of us should probably get our food. Levviel, if you wouldn't mind, could you find some water? Aeslyn, I think you could get a decent fire going, and you could cook, or you and Silki could work together. Any complaints? Satchel said, looking around the clearing at his team mates. Yes! I can't work with that... that peasant! Silkia snarled back angrily.

Aeslyn laughed rather much at Silkia's snarl and looked her playfully in the eye.
"Have it your way. You're the first one I'm voting out! And yes Satchel, I would be happy to make a fire. If I have to cook myself, so be it. No skin off my back. Good luck with the hunt!" she said, stretching, getting ready to collect some tinder and kindling for the fire.
'Forgive me, I don't talk outside of mindspeak. If there is not an odd job for me, I will search for water. Perhaps someone can find something suitable for carrying, and I will bring back fruit or vegetables as well?' the equine said. 'As odd a team as we are, I think we are well suited for this obstacle.'

As do I. Satchel nodded at the equine before turning back to Silkia. Silki, if you will not help Aeslyn, go help Levviel. You can carry whatever vegetables he finds, and you can help look for them.
Fine. She turned toward Levviel, happy to be leaving the clearing. After you.
Sorry about her Aeslyn. Satchel thought toward her as the dragon left. She's just in a... bad mood.

When isn't she? Aeslyn put in as an afterthought. She turned to Levviel with a faint smile and put her hands on her hips after setting down a pile of tinder and kindling.
"I'd pat you on your side or something, but I don't want your warp touch to turn me into a pile of jello. So, good luck, okay? Lanz is the only one who knows your strange demonic-unicorn-pony-like abilities, but since he's not here, we don't know what to watch out for when we mess with you. But if and when that time comes, have pity on me first, okay?" she asked. Levviel made a whinny that was clearly a laugh, and he trotted away in the direction his senses told him there'd be water. In the meantime, Aeslyn hunted for rocks to skin meat on.
"I'll light the fire when I see a good log," she told Satchel. "But I gotta be prepared for the food first, right?"

Right. He nodded, preparing to run out into the dark forest. If you need anything, holler. Silki should be back with a second course soon.

"Well let's hope she takes her time," Aeslyn muttered, placing stones in a circle around where she'd make her fire. Then, struggling, she carried over two large rocks to aid in skinning animals. She wondered how the others were faring.

The sound of cracking twigs and seasons of fallen leaves crushed underfoot rang clearly, piercing the air and meeting the ears of anyone who was around to listen. A girl—slender and blonde—emerged from some light foliage that surrounded the barren forest clearing and looked around, scrutinizing, analyzing.
“Hullo,” she greeted nonchalantly as she approached the first person she saw, which happened to be the only person she saw. “I'm late, I guess—so, what are we doing?”

"Nothing. No one else seems to be doing a damn thing," Aeslyn said bluntly, looking sourly to the others around her, which were no where to be seen. "I'm setting the area up. Name's Aeslyn. Who're you?" she asked, dusting her hands off and holding one out.

“Awesome—I'm Virginia,” Ginny replied, taking Aeslyn's hand and shaking firmly. She had once been told that she had a man's handshake, and couldn't decide what to think of it. “Or Ginny—or whatever else you can think of. Guess the real question is what I should be doing.” She offered a small smile. Even that was rare, with Ginny. And genuine smiles were next to impossible to come by.
