"I feel like I'm back in Pegasus." Kat snorted, "'Tribal Gatherings' last one of those I went to they tried to sacrifice my boss. " She spun to face Jerez with an angry gleam in her eye, both Kat and Ai hated being called crazy for the situation they were stuck in. "Yeah, not crazy. See these?" She flicked one of the thick bracelets on her wrist, "They make it impossible for me to live my own freaking life anymore, I'm a stuck with someone else constantly commenting on everything I do, taking over my body. I wish I was actually insane, at least I would get a break from people trying to murder me. So shut it before I decide to disobey orders and kill someone for real."

Suddenly, Levviel trotted over to Kora and Satchel, whinnying ever so slightly as not to catch any of Kat's slightly Aeslyn-like attitude.
'Would you mind making a collaborative effort to cheer up Lady?' he asked the both of them through thought. 'It is in her person to make things much more challenging depending on her mood, and...' he tilted his head in Lanz's direction, 'she's important to him, and he's feeling helpless to try to make her feel better.'
Rocutia stretched a bit.
"Your cabins will be ready in the morning," the tiger said. Lady snapped her fingers and the image of the sun in the air sank immediately, and the moon rose in its place. "Members may sign up to Character Camp late, but all of the late arrivals will be put in a separate team made just for them."

"Then you'll be short a teammate." Jerez said to Kat. He should be able to keep his mouth shut. There was no reason he had to argue with the girl that he didn't understand... but, for some reason, he did anyways. He didn't understand it, but that was nothing new.

"I don't care, if I can survive two years in Pegasus I can survive a few days in camp down a teammate." Kat snapped. She had no idea why she insisted on arguing with the idiot boy but it was something to occupy her time. "Ai says she doesn't mind being at a disadvantage either."

"Jerez," Lady suddenly spoke, "would you like to be on a different team? Because I can arrange that if you'd like." She sniffled a bit, and kept her fists clenched.

Jerez started to open his mouth to shout something at the offensive, crazy girl, but Silver beat him to the punch.
"SHUT UP! BOTH OF YOU!" His eyes were wide and angry, his jaw clenched; teeth exposed. Thoughts of the past had soured his mood, and he couldn't stand the useless bickering.

"Ohhhboy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy... more ice cream, more ice cream, that always makes things better, always always always..." the goddess murmured, snapping her fingers. More ice cream appeared. "Or maybe some bread. Yes, fresh bread... bread, yum, with butter..." Another snap, and there were a few loaves of steaming, fresh bread, and a stick of home-made butter.
"Um, Lady... I think we can manage from here," Aeslyn said. "I know what my problem is. I'm just used to being in charge. Too many of women here are used to the same thing. We'll, um... get over it maybe." Lady shook her head vigirously.
"No, this was just a bad idea, is all."

"Nah." Jerez said, taking some bread. "It'll be fun. I'll make sure of it." He smiled reassuringly, though he wasn't quite sure why he was trying to reassure the Goddess. It just seemed like the right thing to do, and he usually didn't think things like that over too much.

Kat's eyes widened when Silver started yelling and Lady had a freakout and summoned bread and ice cream. "And you call me insane? I don't make things appear outta thin air when I'm angry. When are we gonna get somewhere to sleep?" She glared at Lady. She kept shifting her weight uncomfortably from foot to foot, trying not to turn and run as far away as she could get.

Lacey plopped down on the dirt, her legs sticking out in front of her. "I...guess I'll just stay here until something happens, then."
She eyed Silver and Kora. She hoped Kora was nice - the others hadn't made the best impression on her. But Kora looked like a normal girl to her, and about her age. Maybe something good would come of this camp, after all.
But what about the "Tribal Gathering"? Lacey hoped that she wasn't the one expelled. She didn't want to be considered a 'weak link', no matter her age, stature, or (goodness forbid) her handicap. And she certainly didn't want to be on a team with Kat.

Jerez offered the girl who sat down a piece of bread. She looked lost, and it might cheer her up, he figured.
He swallowed the food in his mouth. "Oh yeah, bread, that's insane." He said, referring to Kat's last comment, "But ya' know... pullin' a gun to someone's head; now that's an understandable thing to do." He'd spent a long time with Silver to pick up that kind of sarcasm.

"Thanks," Lacey said quietly, taking the bread from him. She bit into the bread - pretty good, for something so hastily conjured - and chewed thoughtfully as she observed the scene before her.

"Yeah, bread appearing outta thin air is insane." Kat snapped at Jerez, "And there's nothing wrong with pulling a gun when something just jumps into your head," She glared at Silkia and Jake, "with no warning whatsoever when you have no way to tell if they mean you harm."
Going a few feet away from the rest she sat down, pulled her sketchpad back out, and resumed drawing.

"What are you drawing?" Lacey asked curiously. One eyebrow tugged upwards as she peered at the sketchpad in Kat's hands.
Once again, her curiosity had overcome her common sense.

"Wraith." Kat replied, glancing up at the girl before turning the sketchpad towards her. It revealed a man-like creature with an odd split beard, long hair, open mouth with disgusting and pointed teeth, and barely visible slits on his cheeks. He was wearing a long robe that flared out behind him and his hands were up turned, revealing the slits on the palms and long nails. It was an image that would terrify any child, and even some adults, in Pegasus.
