So what are you trying to achieve here?
We're hoping to be able to study relationships between animals.
Shouldn't you be using two foxes then?
No, I would like to see a cross-species mutation.
Ah. Well, let's hope Tristan and Kitty become close.
Don't bet on it though. She is very anti-social.
What was it he had said? That she was beautiful? No. She wasn't.
"Hello in there? This is the part where you are supposed to say thank you"
"Tristan... I'm not even pretty. My face is-"
"Covered in fur, I heard. So what? That makes you different than all the other girls in this world."
"I don't want to be different! I want to be the same!"
"Why does it feel like I'm having the same argument over and over again?" Tristan said, running his fingers through his hair again.
"Because you are." Kitty said shortly. "So you're telling me you don't care that they turned you into a fox?"
"You think I'm a fox? Why Kitty! I'm flattered!"
"You know what I meant you egotistical jerk!"
"I was pretty angry at first, but when I stepped back and looked at it, being part fox wasn't so bad. My senses of smell and hearing were heightened, I felt better, I could move faster."
"And?"
"You are such a pessimist! Every cloud has a silver lining Kitty."
"I am not!"
"You are a pessimisttttttt! Oh such a pessimistttttttt! You make me unhappyyyyyyyyyy when it is Maaaaaay!" He said in a singsong voice, a smile tugging on the corner of his mouth.
"Shut up!" Kitty barked, punching him lightly through the bars.
"Dinner!" came the voice of a scientist. It was dinner time already? Tristan rolled over in his cage, pretending to be asleep. The soft click of shoes on the stark white tile floor reached her ears, and the door of her cage was opened. "Here."
"Thanks." Kitty said, digging into the mystery mush they had given her. But something odd happened as they were locking her cage, and unlocking Tristan's. He rolled over and delivered a punch to the guy's jaw and jumped out of his cage.
"Take that, ass hole!" Tristan cried triumphantly.
