I think I'm turning out to be the forum a-hole.
Not that I mean to!
I'm actually invoking the Golden Rule here... "Treat others as I would be treated."
In my giving solid crits on people's writing, I would only ask the same of everyone else. Don't be afraid to be hard sometimes! It's what we need to help us grow as writers.
And that's why we're here after all, right? To get better at what we do.

I think it's nice that you're willing to give good critique. Just don't forget to do ONE THING while you're doing it:
Also point out what they did right, and what you did like. xD

I just know how sad I get when people completely pick apart something that I might be so proud of, so I usually like to throw compliments in with critique, just so that it doesn't completely bring them down. Y'know, so at least they have SOMETHING to be proud of. ;D Teehee.

Snow actually asked me the other day if it hurt my feelings when she gave harsh critique XD It was hilarious.
Lady, I don't think you sugar coat things ^^ You're just better at finding the good in someone's writing. ^^
I sugar coat things XD If it sucks, I just don't read the whole thing and go, Oh! That's... super!
