I walked into the camp wearing Seth's t-shirt, looking around for him. I probably smell like the idiot... I thought, scratching at my arm.
"Nice to have you back Mysty." Lupus said from behind me. "I was about to send someone to look for you."
Creep.
"Whatever." I turned around to face him, and an odd expression appeared on his face. "What?" He burst out laughing, and turned away, pointing at the t-shirt Seth had given me. I looked down, expecting just a plain black t-shirt.
I was wrong. As usual.
Written on the shirt, in big white letters were the words, screw you! "I... am going to kill him." I hissed through clenched teeth. "Where the hell is he?" Lupus waved a hand off in the direction of the caves, struggling to stop laughing.
I was pissed. Of course, it's understandable, but with a temper like mine it's generally better to not get angry. Because that always ends in what I like to call a 'band-aid moment'.
Seth would be lucky if he was still able to move his little finger when I was done with him.
"Seth!" I stormed into his 'den', where he sat, curled up in a corner. "What are you doing?"
"Meditating." He said, snickering. "Nice shirt."
"Is this some kind of joke? It's not funny!" I howled, slapping him across the face.
"That hurt!" He yelled, jumping up from where he sat. I raised my hand to slap him again, and he grabbed my wrists, pulling me close. "That would be a mistake, sweetheart." He whispered in my ear.
"Get... off... of me..." I muttered, struggling to break free."Help!"
"Shhhh. Now, I suggest you calm down. We wouldn't want that temper of yours getting you into trouble." He said, gently letting me go. "Now, are you going to thank me for being kind enough to give you something to wear?"
"No! You egotistical jerk! Why would I thank you for giving me something like this? Screw you!"
"Gladly. I'll pay for the hotel."
I stomped out of the room, practically running Lupus over as I went. "I'm leaving!" I announced, walking off toward the forest. Behind me, in the entrance to his cave, Seth lay sprawled on the ground, writhing in pain, clutching at a part of him that I probably shouldn't have kicked.
Oh well. What do I care if he can't reproduce anymore?
"Mysty, wait!" Lupus yelled, running to catch up with me. "We're in the middle of a huge forest with no where for you to go!"
"I'll find a way home." I pushed past him, into the dark forest. It was close to six now, and I still hadn't eaten. My stomach grumbled hungrily, but I ignored it and pushed onward, leaving behind me the sound of frantic cries.
Thump... thump... thump... The familiar sound of my heart beating calmed me as I went. Still, every twig breaking, every leaf shuffling caught my attention. It was this that brought about my downfall.
A huge dark shape jumped out of the bushes, pinning me to the ground, lifting it's head and howling.
"He's found her!"
"Let's go!"
Other wolves, and people, flooded the area, bringing with them the noise that only comes from a bunch of people, all talking at the same time.
So I did what any normal girl would do in that situation.
I fainted.
