Lady was no where to be seen in the bare clearing, and nowhere to be seen amongst the thick trees. Only Veritas, who was enjoying the cold morning, enjoying the fact the sun hadn't yet risen. Her team would be the best. She knew it. And if it wasn't, she'd make it the best.
"Listen up, who and wherever you are," the tiger said. "You have orders, and I expect you to carry them out with exceptional precision. They're simple. You are to prepare the first meal of the day.
3 courses, portions enough for each of you.
1 beverage, portions enough for each of you.
I'll be back when you're finished."

Jayden wasn't taking well to being ordered around by a beast, she was the one who gave orders when dealing with animals. But the tiger was a beautiful creature and she could tolerate taking orders from such a smart beast. "I can handle at least one course and probably the drink, just don't disturb me." She said to whatever members of her team would show up.
Turning she took the bag she had strapped onto Lanai and sat against a tree. The horse followed, looking over her shoulder as she removed a thick book from the bag. Are you sure you should try this? Creation is your weakest form of magic. Lanai nudged at Jayden's mind nervously.
It's just breakfast, nothing big. And wine, I need wine if they expect me to face the day. That'll cover the drink. Opening the book Jayden began chanting slowly in another language, reciting the creation spell with slight alterations to make it summon food. Already it drained her magic and her voice wavered slightly but she continued.

"I can hunt." Seth said, padding over to where Jayden sat. "Mysty could help me, but she is a bit out of it right now..." I came up over the hill to where the two were, my eyes rimmed in red from crying in my sleep.
"I'll cook whatever Seth catches..." I muttered turning toward him.
"Excuse us." He said, taking my hand and leading me away from the clearing.
"Get off of me Seth!" I barked angrily, not in the mood for a 'chat'.
"Mysty, look at yourself! Would Lupus be proud of this? No! So pull yourself together!" He squeezed my hand, and turned away from me, walking back over to Jayden. He's right. Lupus WOULD be ashamed of me... especially after the whole, 'refusing to shift' thing. I stand up tall, and follow Seth, determined to make my old mentor proud.

"Shhh." Jayden waved one hand at Seth. Lanai snapped at the boy and snorted, nuzzling Jayden's hair. After a moment more red light flooded the air in front of Jayden and when it was gone it left behind a plate piled high with sweet rolls and a jug of wine with empty goblets surrounding it.
Panting, Jayden slumped backwards. "I really, really hate spellwork." It was still dark and so as she got up she summoned a fireball, tossing it into the air above her head and holding it there with her Power. "Now, what about a fire?"

"Wow... I've never seen anyone do that..." Ha! For once in his arrogant life, Seth had been surprised!
"I think a fire would be helpful. Seth, if you wouldn't mind, go find us meat of some sort." He ran off, partially shifting as he went, bringing with him the most useful tools for hunting. Teeth, claws, ears, and his tail, but not because that was so useful.
He just liked it.

"It's nothing." Jayden told Seth, "I can do alot more, not well, but I can." Instead of bothering with wood Jayden just tossed a large ball of fire toward the ground a distance away from herself and shaped it into something resembling a traditional fire. Then she bent and picked up the jug of wine and a goblet, pouring herself some before setting the jug back down. Looking up she smiled softly at Mysty and gestured to the wine, "Want some?"
Lanai approached We should find water. she bumped her head into the girl's free arm.
We should Jayden agreed. Holding the full goblet carefully she swung onto the horses back, bareback. Go slowly, I have no saddle and a full glass. Tangling her free hand in the horse's mane she sat easily, urging the horse forward with her legs. "We'll be back in a minute, we're going to find water of some sort. You can come if you like." Jayden called to Mysty.

"Well, well, well! What have we here?" Exclaimed Jarroc, flashing a broad smile to those gathered. "After dinner are we? Well I can kill, or hunt I suppose- and not half badly if I say so myself- and I can carve...well anything really, I'm best at dead stuff.." He paused for a moment, his brow furrowed in thought, "I could probably forage a bit too, I dunno, whatever you wa-- Oho! Is that wine?" He stopped midsentence, reaching eagerly for the jug on the ground.
"May I?" He asked, although he had already poured himself a glass and had taken a large, gratifying gulp. "Aha, yes, that's the stuff! Brilliant this, where's it from? Anyway, where were we... Hmm, oh yes! Food. So what's the plan? Gods, I'm famished."
He took another large gulp and grinned toothily.

"It's from memory." Jayden nodded at the wine. "I created it from the memory of my eighteenth birthday. Fairie wine, best you'll ever taste. Don't drink much though, three cups of that has most men to drunk to stand." She made a face at his rambling, commoners weren't her favorite people to be around. "The plan is, there're sweet rolls there, also from memory so they might be a little bland, and the wolf boy has gone off to hunt. Lanai," she patted the mare she was sitting on, "and I are going to find water. You can come with us or stay if you wish, I don't care." She finished her wine and tossed the goblet into the air where it disappeared in a flash of red light.
(ooc: Kate, they're outside not in a kitchen)

Ember emerged from the forest, Kayden trailing behind her, "We've eaten, shall we help you in any way?" -I doubt they eat anything edible anyways- Kaymen spread his magnifigance wings at thought of eating anything but flesh and blood.

"You could forage if you want, or you can help me cook." I eyed her dragon suspiciously, before returning to the work of finding something to cook on. My hands shook as I worked, constant reminders of the way I had caused Lupus' death. "I'm Mysty."
Seth walked calmly into the camp, dragging behind him the carcass of a large deer.
"This should be enough food for everyone, yes?" He smiled that arrogant smile of his, and sat at the base of a tree, staring at the sky.
"Yes." I looked over to where the new girl and her dragon stood, and pointed toward the dead animal. "You could skin that if it doesn't make you sick."

Lanai started when the dragon approached, rearing and dumping Jayden in the dirt. Hissing curses in three languages she stood. "Watch your pet." She snapped at Ember. Closing her eyes she searched for the frightened horse. Before she found Lanai she encountered the minds of several other camps of humans, though she couldn't communicate with them she could tell where they were. Pulling back from them she focused only on animals and managed to track down her horse and call her back.
A moment later Lanai thundered into the clearing, stopping far away from the dragon and sidestepping nervously. "Shh, shh. Good girl, it's not going to eat you if it knows what's good for it." Jayden murmured. The arrival of Seth and the dead deer wasn't helping calm the horse.

"Ah, meat! Excellent! I can have that skinned, carved and ready cook in no time." Jarroc jumped up from his spot against a tree trunk eagerly, walking towards the deer and talking to Jayden briefly. "Now, you better get a good look at this. I certainly wouldn't mind another one tomorrow." He winked at her, before bending over the animal and getting to work with his knife, humming a tune quietly as he did so. He finished before long, wiped his knife on the grass and resumed his spot beneath the tree, calling to Jayden again as he sat, "Be a doll and conjur up a nice little fire for us. I'm too tired to gather wood." He chuckled softly to himself, and closed his eyes.
(ooc: Eek! Sorry bout before. I think it's fixed now! So silly. While I'm being ooc, I want to apologise for not replying much. I've been so busy!)

"You'll be lucky then, if I don't use you as fuel for the fire." Jayden snapped. With a quick wave she summoned a fireball in the middle of the clearing. "Someone find something to keep that going, if I loose focus it'll be the first of many spells to fail."

Ember scoffed and looked over towards the dead carcass. "Like that would make me squeamish." She pulled a dagger out of her boot and began removing the skin; taking chunks of meat and laying them on a rock to dry. When she was finished she eyed Kayden, "Make sure you keep your distance from the horse, they probally wouldn't appreciate it if you had it as a midnight snack." -Of course, wasn't even thinking about it- Kayden sighed and looked back to Ember -I think I'll fly for a bit- Waiting for Ember's answering nod he took off into the air circling around the clearing.

Lanai snorted as Jayden relayed Ember's order to her dragon not to eat the horse. "She says thank you, I don't know why." The girl said, shaking her head at the horse.
Because I have manners, you should learn some. Lanai replied, nosing Jayden's hands in search of a treat.
"I have manners, just not to stupid peasants who have no respect for who I am." She muttered under her breath. With a flick of her wrist a wind swirled up around the tray of sweet rolls across the clearing and lifted them up, taking them close enough to Jayden for her to snatch one off before returning to the ground. She ripped the roll in half and fed half to Lanai, biting into the other. "Not as good as I remember, but then again they are only a memory."
