What had that damned girl gotten him into this time? "You're my character, so I'm sending you to character camp. It should be fun," was the announcement. "And there aren't any refunds, so there's no sitting out this time you lummox." Arguments ensued, but her reasoning got the better of him and he surrendered in the end. Besides- he was bored most of the day anyways.
The bus dropped the elf off at a secluded stop, forcing him to walk up the road maybe a mile before arriving at the camp. His eyes were drawn to a campfire and the various silhouettes settled about it.
He groaned. "They're all children here!"
Mustering what dignity he felt there was left, Narthas adjusted the heavy pack on his shoulder and strode on toward the ring, chin high and jaw set.
With him he carried the usual assortment of tools and things that always accompanied him on journeys. Extra clothes, blank books, writing implements, his trusty half-and-a-half (though he doubted it would be of any use at all here).
Narthas ran a hand through his hair in a frustrated fashion as he took a seat near the fire on an old tree stump, gazing at the faces around him. It looked to be makings of a rather interesting situation.

Redswish sauntered toward the little crowd, flanked by his two captains. Blacknose's eyes glittered with eagerness, with hunger for the hamster in green. Blacktail's eyes were uncertain, a troubled look on her face, as though she were battling with free will and loyalty. "So hamster," Redswish smirked. "We meet again."

"Well, fine. I hope you can handle yourselves on your own," Nycisu said, trying not to scrunch up her nose as she turned away from the hamsters. How rude of them! The least they could have done was said 'we'll let you know if we need help'. But the nymph attempted to brush encounter off her shoulder.
Her eyes then went towards another... very nice-looking male that had just arrived. He was older than most of the people there, though she doubted he was as old as her (74 was young in nymph years, though), but hey... talking hamsters were there!

Lorraine swiveled around to face Cloverbud. "I think you upset Nycisu." Cloverbud glowered at her. "What, you can read minds too?" Lorraine smiled. "I can occasionally pick up thoughts. I know you hate when others try to protect and treat you like you're defenseless, but you could actually say thank you." "Fine then." "Also, she was thinking of....talking hamsters." Cloverbud spun around, her eyes wild. "Are talking hamsters strange? These pale creatures can be sooo rude!" "I think hamsters don't talk in their world." Cloverbud tiptoed over to Nycisu, bowing her head. "Sorry if you took me as rude, but everyone sems to think I'm defensless. Especially David. And also, why are "talking hamsters" so strange?

"I never once said you were defenseless! I was offering my help as a gesture of kindness!" Nycisu said, putting her hands on her hips. "Why is that so strange? I was offering my alleigance to you! And I'm sorry, most animals don't talk where I come from. I can communicate with them, but we don't speak the same tongue. So pardon me if I'm surprised...!"
Calm down, Nycisu...! The woman thought about all the things Libra would be saying to her now. "If you don't shut that mouth of yours, you gonna wind up in trouble again, and I ain't gonna fish you out, just to spite you! You gotta learn somehow!" Of course Nycisu wouldn't learn. She wanted to be respected just as much as anyone else did!

"Who is that?" Cloverbud asked, eyeing the woman. She gasped with surprise as I David appeared from behind, grabbing her shoulders. "I think Redswish and his captains will try to kill us, I mean, who would suspect it here? No one knows of his history, of where we are from, how it is suffering. He may even try to conquer this place, you know how anxious he is for land right now. His army could appear any second-all 1 thousand of them." He turned back to Nycisu. "We would really appreciate your help."

Holly barely fluttered an eyelash at the talking hamsters and co. Her muscles were taut, not helped by the fact things- people- kept arriving.
Her blue eyes went wide and she eyed the elf, wondering what his true form would be. Actually, what were ANY of these creatures true forms. She almost flinched at the fox though. As a squirrel, she didn't really like something that preyed on her wild counterparts. Even the wolf was a little unnerving, though it seemed to be communicating with the little girl so probably in his shifted form then.
Feeling edgy, she nonetheless put the arrow back in her quiver and slung her bow about her shoulders, then looked at Cloverbud and the other woodland creatures. "Hello."

The elf blinked as soon as he espied the bipedal rodents.
"Insanity," he chuckled to himself, suddenly deciding to stop resisting it and to just... go with the flow.
Narthas looked around to see if there was perhaps a person in charge of the whole event, and then heard a woman calling out something about a roster. Aha, that's who he needed to see. He stood up and got closer to the ring of chairs, and approached Nycisu. ((Nycisu, right?))
"Er.. excuse me." Sorry to disturb your argument... "What's the, uh, registration procedure for this? Are there any forms I need to fill out or anything?" Narthas was a rather expressive elf, gesturing almost dramatically as he spoke. His voice lowered to a whisper though, and he leaned in farther. "And am I the oldest one here?"

Kia snapped back to reality sharply, having drifted off into her own little world in an attempt at meditation when the other peoples, and creatures, began arriving. Once again it had failed, there were far too many distractions and energies in the camp for someone as terrible at mediation as herself to even get close.
"There are talking rats here?" She narrowed her eyes, studying the small creatures. They had swords of all things, and they were talking, she couldn't get over the whole talking thing. "This is going to be very...odd to say the least."
"I don't think there are any forms to fill out, at least not any anyone told me about. We're just kind of...stuck here, at the whim of our very insane trainers I suppose." She told Narthas, her face scrunching up at the unpleasant thought of trainers.
(ooc: I'm off for most of a day and you've already got two pages! Insane!)

Ethan trembled. He was sure that he was going mad. He shivered, intently watching the happenings.

"No, I believe I am the oldest here!"
"Arri, cut it out! Be quiet! You don't want to make people mad!"
Nycisu swung her head around; Narthas would have to wait. The more outspoken one arriving was a very alien woman with yellow skin and two THINGS that on any normal person would've been long braids, but they weren't made out of hair. That was for sure. She was pretty, but Nycisu almost didn't notice it, the sight of her was so bizarre. The other woman next to her was nothing special - just someone else. She was tan and tiny, and apparently much, much meeker than the alien.
"Excuse me, who are you two?"
The meeker one approached Nycisu and Narthas, beckoning for the alien to join her.
"M-my name's Rufina. And this is my friend--"
"I am Arriwoe! Rebel Princess of the Perdu of Hespera! It's quite nice to meet you!" she said, shaking both Nycisu's and Narthas's hands. "Don't mind me, not at all. I couldn't help but hear you wondering if you were the oldest! You might be, but I just wanted to make an entrance!" She laughed a little, her few gold jewelry items shaking with her. "Compared to most of my kind I'm still a little bit young. 95 years! But Hespera's time goes a little faster than other planets..."

The elf had no choice but to take the hand of the alien femme and shake it with vigorous welcome. She was a very strange looking thing (completely hairless!) with skin such a daring shade that it would normally have been a sign of jaundice in the children of men.
"Er, hello Rufina and Arriwoe," he said, smiling politely. Then, in response to her extroverted digression: "Ah, yes. Ninety-five was a good year! Live it up while you still can, and take care of yourself. Premature aging is not a fun thing." The remark was meant to be a mirthful jab at himself, though hypocritical as well: the elf didn't look at day older than 35.

"Hello," Cloverbud said. "Who are you?" Then she turned around angrily back to Kia. "And we are not rats, we are hamsters, and Lorraine and Harold are guinea pigs." She averted her gaze back to the squirrell. "Watch out for the fox and his cats. They are our enemies in the land we are from, and are currently trying to kill us."

Holly eyed them, but felt ne fear with her bow by her side, and her quiver on her back. The girl pushed her nut brown curls back from her face and looked aorund with cautious blue eyes. Oh, she wanted shift and spring into the safety of the trees, but no, she must stay and find out where she was. This feeling surprised her for she was not a timid girl.
She turned her eyes back to Cloverbud. "I am Holly, Archer of the Shifter's Guard. Who are you?" She could have added that she was well known for her skill, but didn't find it expident. She was always learning.

"Rats, hamsters, all the same thing." Kia muttered, edging just a bit farther away from the small creature. Her attention turned to what looked like an alien, who had made quite an entrance with her human-looking friend. "I'm not even going to try to argue with any of you on the age thing, you've got me by almost seventy years Arriwoe. What exactly are you?"
Almost as soon as the question left her mouth she regretted it. Race was a touchy topic for many creatures, and though she couldn't be sure if it was the same for aliens it was best never to take chances and end up pissing someone off. Too late, unfortunately.
